Students Receive High Marks on Cambridge Check Point Exams
Last month, a number of Open Gates
students took the Cambridge Checkpoint exams to assess each
student’s academic progress. The tests covered three major areas:
English, Math and Sciences. The results of tests were outstanding.
“These test results show that the teaching method we apply here
at Open Gates is working well,” says Richard Payne, head of the
primary school. “Our current streaming [class structure] system
is working very well.”
The results indicated that for all three subjects, ‘better than
expected’ or ‘above average’ scores were received.
One student, who is only eleven years old, scored perfect scores on all
the math modules. In fact, all the students taking these exams are
younger than their counterparts back in England who are taking the same
exams, but the Open Gates students are scoring higher scores.
“These tests do not lie,” says Mr. Payne. “Parents
are more than welcomed to come in and look at the results and see that
their children are receiving a good and solid education.” |
